Typhoon Haiyan Response

As the devastation from Typhoon Haiyan continues to unfold in the Philippines, Mennonite Central Committee partners are on the ground working to deliver emergency aid to storm survivors and to assess the next steps for relief and recovery. A gift from you will help meet these urgent needs.

MCC has committed $200,000 to help meet urgent needs through partner agency, Church World Service (CWS), including providing emergency food packages and non-food items to improve sanitation and hygiene for some 3,750 families. We are also supporting other partners to assess urgent needs and plan for long-term recovery.

MCC is well known for working long after media interest has dwindled, helping communities rebuild from devastation. Our work is just beginning.

Donations from individual Canadians to MCC’s typhoon relief effort made between Nov. 9 and Dec. 23 are eligible to be matched by the Canadian government. Click here for more information about the government matching fund.
